JCA achieves RoSPA Gold 2019

JCA is pleased to announce that we have achieved Gold in the internationally-renowned RoSPA Health and Safety Awards 2019.

This is only the second year of our RoSPA Awards journey and we are delighted that the business has managed to achieve the Gold standard award yet again.

The RoSPA Awards scheme, which receives entries from organisations around the world, recognises achievement in health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Commenting on JCA’s Gold achievement, Jamie McDonald, Corporate HSE Manager at JCA, said: “The winning of a consecutive RoSPA Gold Award is testament to the great culture and commitment JCA Engineering has towards health and safety processes across the company and through its supply chain.”

JCA will be presented with the award at an official ceremony at Excel, London on June 18, 2019.

JCA accredited with ISO 45001

We are delighted to announce that JCA has been accredited with ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System.

ISO 45001 has been developed by a committee of occupational health and safety experts to help organisations by providing a framework to improve employee safety, reduce workplace risks and create better, safer working conditions. The system was established with consideration of other related standards, such as OHSAS 18001, Occupational health and safety management, the International Labour Organisation’s ILO -OSH 2001 guidelines and various national standards and is consistent with the ILO’s international labour standards and conventions.

Developed with the input of experts from more than 70 countries, ISO 45001 provides an international framework that takes into account the interaction between an organisation and its business environment. ISO 45001 adopts a risk-based approach that ensures it is effective and undergoes continual improvement to meet an organisation’s ever-changing context.

Providing a safe environment is JCA’s number one priority embedding a positive culture of zero incidents, ensuring the health and well being of everyone. We are training our directly employed workforce and those of our subcontractors in the ethos of ‘safety first’. To achieve this, we embed an intrinsic culture of health and safety in our management staff across all sites and throughout the workforce.
